Here’s our story and how it all started.

Swiss Village Insurance was started in 2000 by Tonya DeTorio.

After working as an independent Insurance agent since 1989 for a local insurance agency Tonya purchased the agency, changed the name and started growing the business. Tonya contributes the continued success to the fact that they treat their customers like family and truly have their best interest at heart.

The best compliment is when a current client refers someone to us.

“They don’t say call Swiss Village, they say call Tonya, she will take great care of you”, says Tonya DeTorio. The agency has occupied several locations due to continued growth. After 31 very successful years in the insurance business, Tonya decided that it was time to start slowing down and spending more time with her family. In 2021, Tonya chose to partner with Tuscarawas Agency Company in order to continue to give her customers the best service possible.
